Fabric weight (GSM) directly affects the performance characteristics and functionality. A lower GSM (200-240GSM) gives the barely-there lightweight feeling. The lighter the tights, the more freedom of movement they offer and the more breathable they are. High GSM (280-320GSM) tights provide compression and a higher level of support.

Ensuring optimal airflow, lower GSM tights allow heat to escape and evaporate quickly, keeping you cool and comfortable.

Lower GSM tights also allow you to stretch, bend and perform dynamic movements without feeling restricted. But too light and they'll be see through and will have no support. Avoid any tights less than 190GSM.

NuBare: 220GSM

Nylon/Elastane (or Spandex) is softer and stronger than a Polyester/Elastane blend. Nylon/Elastane has incredible shape retention and breathability.

NuBare: 70% Nylon, 30% Elastane

Brushed finished tights undergo an additional treatment during the manufacturing process that involves gently abrading the surface, resulting in a matte appearance, where standard tights have a shiny appearance.

Brushed finished tights offer a softer, more comfortable feel. The finish has a matte look, providing a more understated and relaxed aesthetic.
